Privacy Policy for Daily Accounting: Expense Manager

Effective Date: 2025-12-08

I, Saeed Khalafinejad, developed the Daily Accounting: Expense Manager app to help users manage their expenses and income. By using this app, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Data Collection and Storage

A. Local Data Storage

All data you enter into the app is stored only on your device, inside a local database located in the app’s private folder. You may back up this database to the Downloads folder or any other folder you select through Android’s Storage Access Framework (SAF). When the app is uninstalled, the app’s private folder and local database are deleted. However, any backups you created remain on your device until you choose to delete them.

B. Sharing Backups and Reports

If you choose to share your backup files or exported reports (e.g., via Google Drive, Telegram, email), this occurs entirely outside the app. Therefore, please review the privacy policies of those third-party apps or services.

C. Images and Attachments (Optional Feature)

When you select a picture from the gallery or take a photo to attach to an entry, the app creates a copy of the selected image in the folder you choose through SAF. These images remain on your device even after uninstalling the app.

D. No External Data Transmission

The app does not collect, share, or transmit any of your personal data (including text, images, or financial entries) to me or to any third party. All data remains stored locally on your device.

E. Purchase Verification

When you buy the app using the Google Play Billing system, the app sends the purchase token to my server to validate your purchase. This communication is performed securely using HTTPS. Please also refer to the Google Play Billing Privacy Policy: Google Play Billing Privacy Policy.

2. Permissions Used

A. Camera

android.permission.CAMERA is used only when you choose to take a photo to attach to your accounting entries.

B. Internet

android.permission.INTERNET is used solely for verifying your purchase token via HTTPS. The app does not upload or transmit your personal data through the internet.

C. Post Notifications

On devices running Android Tiramisu (API 33) or higher, the app requests android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS solely to provide the optional notification reminder feature.

D. Biometric Login

If you enable biometric login, the app uses your device’s fingerprint or biometric authentication to unlock the app. No biometric data is stored or transmitted by the app.

3. Error Handling

If you encounter issues while using the app, you may contact me via email. I may ask for non-personal technical information such as your device model or Android version to help diagnose the issue. The app does not automatically generate or send error logs.

4. Third-Party Libraries

The app uses third-party libraries for UI, data processing, charts, PDF rendering, and background tasks. These libraries do not collect or transmit personal information.

5. Children’s Privacy

The app is not intended for children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page along with the updated effective date. You are advised to review this page periodically for updates.
